Hi Deanna,
Everyone at the vet's office thought she was adorable. She gets a lot of compliments. Her crate training is coming along fine. The first night in it she cried for an hour before settling down. Then she would whimper every now and then. We put the radio on for her on the classical music station every night. Every night the whimpering gets less and less. Last night she cried for 5 minutes. I put her in it when I have to take the girls to school and when I have to take them to their activities. There have been times when she is still sleeping in it when I open the door and she just lays there until she's ready to come out. She is coming right along with the potty training. She's had an accident or two daily, but she's definately getting it. I think overall, that she'll pick up on most of the basics quickly. She has such an easy going demeanor. She is so sweet and loveable to the girls. She looks for them first thing in the morning after she's been let out of the crate and finished her business. She is also crazy about my husband and he loves her too.
We'll let you know how she does in her puppy training classes when she takes those.
Thanks for a wonderful dog,
Kim
HI. Dexter is truly working out well. He is trying really hard to go outside to potty, but sometimes has accidents. We got a new digital camera, so here' s a pic of Bear. Will try to send some of Dexter when we can get him to sit still.
They are so in love. Sleep together on the dog bed; even managed to get into a medium size crate together. They drag each other around by the ears and nose. I don't think Bear realizes how much bigger Dexter will be soon. It's hard to believe he is still a puppy.
Karen and All
Here's one of Dexter. We still can't get good ones of them all together. We will keep trying. He is going to be one handsome dog when he is an adult. We had our old Lady dog, Zip, put to sleep yesterday so Bear and Dexter are very comfortming. More than Elton, they seem to feel my pain and come to me with big kisses. Ain't dogs just the best friends?
Karen and the gang
Hi D.
Mollie is winding up her back legs like a horse and running around every day. Do the boys {Draon & Dipper} do that with their back legs??
She bends her legs back and goes very, very fast. Now she is resting on my lap which is not big enough any more.
Have a nice day.
Berni
Hello guys. Just sending you a photo of the pup... he's growing quickly and he is smart as a whip... he is training easily and is a joy of a dog... the kids made an executive decision to re-name him "Monty" (his full name being "Montana")... I hope you enjoy the photo, and I'll be sure to send more as he grows...
Mike
Formerly known as POOBEAR
Right this minute she is trying to climb into my lap and is licking my hands as I type. She's a sweetie pie and loves everyone including the cats. She's even got the one older cat who still hisses and scratches at her to allow Loosy to lick him on occasion. And they nap together sometimes. I think on our last trip to the vet they said she was 40 pounds which may or may not be correct as their scale was behaving oddly. She's about 19 inches tall and from nose to tail about 27 inches.
And here's some pics................(the one with the cat is not the mean cat but a really loving cat who died unxepectedly of a bladder stone at just over a year)

Hello,
Here is Mollie-J at a little gathering in the back yard. She enjoys the attention of new people!
Once a week Mollie-J goes to play with a group of dogs and boy is she tired when she comes home.
All is well and I hope everyone is okay out west.
Best regards, Berni

Greetings,
Sending -Thanksgiving wishes to you and all you love.
Mollie-J weighs in at 42 pounds now. One week before her birthday Mollie-J pointed out a sea duck to me that had landed in our side yard. We called the town and The duck was picked up, checked out by a vet. - and then released into the sea. What I did not know was that if the sea duck lands On ground they cannot get airborn, so Mollie-J did a good thing and saved the sea duck. Otherwise the duck would have been Goner. As there are a lot of coyote groups on the cape.
Most likely we will have a new picture to send out your way in December. One quick question, Mollie-J has very water repellant Fur just like a duck. Are the other clumingers the same???
Take care, Berni

Good morning Deanna and Jim. Attached are some pictures of Buster with his sister Maggie and two fleece squeaky bones they both got for Christmas. He is 55 pounds and doing very well. They are both very spoiled and received more presents than anyone else in the house this past holiday season. We are weaning them off the squeak toys simply because they don't last long. They play tug of war with them until they rip open but they love them. Bussy always has to have a soft toy in his mouth when he greets someone. They love to run together and chase each other in the back yard. I wanted you to know that Bussy is doing very well and is our baby boy. Maggie is his big sister and protector, has never hurt him and watches out for him when they are outside together. She won't go out without him. In return, he protects her as well. When she is scared from a loud noise outside, he will charge ahead to investigate and find out what is scaring her. He's a good protector too. I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season and much happiness in 2008. Diane

Hello All, Happy Christmas and Merry New Year from Mollie-J!!! Best wishes, Berni
Deanna,
All is well, She is such a joy! She weighs approximately 40 pounds now. She just finished shedding her summer coat. We thought she was producing enough fur for 6 other dogs! She was spade a few months ago and had no problems with the surgery or recovery. We are almost done with house training 99%. She only has an accident if we are not paying attention to her signs.( She sits by the back door with a look that seems to say you better let me out now! ) She is finishing the electric fence training and will have free reign of the yard today or tomorrow. Sienna loves to chase balls and she carries her toys everywhere. Stephen and I are blessed to have her. Attached are recent pics. We will send more soon
Steph

Hi Deanna,
Just want to drop you a note to say just how much we LOVE your little girl. She is just Awesome. She is so loveable and cuddly we just can't get enough of her. She's really doing well with listening and loves to play ball.she's doing much better with the biting and potty training went very easy. She has grown so much. Hope all is well in MT.
Bailey sends her love to her family in MT. Hope to hear from you soon, Jill
Deanna,
Bailey is doing GREAT!!! We just love her so much. We'd like to wish you and your family Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.
Looking forward to seeing her on your web site sometime.
Enjoy the holidays,
Jill
Here's a picture of Bailey and her new brothers.
I got some more pictures this morning so I thought that I would send them to you. I was trying to get some pictures of Dexter and Miss I love to have my picture taken Bear just walked up and sat down, I got one of both of them. I could not get one of Elton with the other three, but got the Springers on the couch with Pete. I know what you mean about Dragon. Dexter is so sweet and he is my care taker. He loves to sit behind me on the bed and lick my hair. I call him my hair dresser. So, I was sitting in my chair watching the dogs, I had a poem come to mind.
I thought I would share it with you. Elton and the others get along OK.
He plays with Bear very well..
Dexter is the CLUMINGER BOY! :) on the right.
Miles, Bear, Pete & Dexter......
Thank you, to every one that sent cards and pictures of your Clumber/Springer hybrid babies at Christmas time 2007 in the mail! :)
That was sweet and so very appreciated!
I am starting a scrap book :)

Besides throwing-up the first time she laid eyes on us, Lovey has been the perfect little angel ever since. She has been flawless, going outside to potty. She saw her first white-tail deer this morning outside the house on her morning walk. We can already tell she is going to be really special. Thanks again for making everything go smoothly in the transition. She is adjusting very well so far, and is a true joy!!
We'll keep in touch.
Jamie, Susan and Cal
Peaches is adjusting very well, and is happy with all the attention in her new home. Everyone is totally in love with her. Thank you for such a wonderful puppy!!
All is going well - she is growing so fast. She is very smart and is into EVERYTHING. We love her a lot.
Luise
Hi D, Hello to everyone!
Mollie-J is great. We have a new fence for the back yard, now she runs like the wind and just loves to chase balls and sticks. Mollie-J now weighs 25 lbs. She already has recovered from her spay operation. The surgery was done the third Wednesday in April and she spent one night at the vets.
The trainer I wanted to work with went on sick leave - so Mollie did not attend her class yet!!! Now we are scheduled to start on May 14th. Mollie has the commands down for sit and come.
I believe Mollie understands the word no - but often is on her own mission and I re-direct some of her chewing activity.
We need to get training for the walk commands and "leave it" down. Puppy teeth have been showing up on the floor - it is hard to believe that she is growing up.
How big are Mollie's brothers?? Mollie has very strong shoulders and I often wonder how she will look at full growth.
We love her and enjoy all her antics. Mollie-J loves to cuddle up at night when she is sleepy. Almost every day I take her to the beach where she loves to watch the seagulls.
My daughter will be down this week end or next with her camera to take some pics that I can email to you.
Berni
Hi there. I am here at work, not wanting to work and thinking about puppies. Bear and Dexter are the best of buds and they are so cute together. People always do a double take when we tell them Dexter is a Cluminger and then say nothing else. He is so much like a Clumber. When we take them hiking, he just plods along behind the other two and stops to sniff the "flowers" at his own pace. He loves the mud and will stay out in the rain for hours. Both Bear and Dexter are my bed pups.
Pete will NOT stop talking about Hunter. Do you ever plan to have any pups out of Hunter or his off-spring? Pete would love to have a "Hunter". He wants a "Tall", white and black male pup. If you have any plans, maybe that will get him to be quiet for awhile. He does love Bear and Dexter VERY much. He brushes them and sings to them and calls them little lovey names. Even though we have had them only a few months, they have become a very big part of our family. We are so fortunate to have found you and your wonderful dogs.
Take care, Karen and the gang
Jim and Deanna,
Trip is doing really great and is now named Sir Chauncey Tibertius of York, which we're registering with the American Canine Hybrid Club. We call him Chance, and he's already responding to his nickname.
He's fitting in with our family very well, and Willie and Lucky Girl, our 13-year-old female Cocker Spaniel litter mates, seem OK with him. Willie checks him out every now and then, and Lucky Girl, who had a litter when she was three, is experiencing a bit of a revival of her mothering instincts.
We took your advice and have taken Chance to bed with us, which is working out marvelously.
We are really, really happy with Chance. He's healthy, playful, smart, inquisitive and so beautiful he's getting "oohs" and "aahs" when we show him off. Our veterinarian and his staff put their seal of approval on him.
Pictures later.
And many thanks.
Bill
Hello,
I figured you'd like to see how (Parker) who now is now Koda.. is doing. He's enjoying a day at the beach here. He is the best behaved dog we've ever had. Such a big lover boy. We had him Neutered he wasn't to happy about that but he got over it. Love the combination of the two breeds. Never had such a well behaved dog.
Thank you
Jodi
Keep us in mind when you have future cluminger puppies.
Lil Dipper is now the Sea Captain of Hauser Lake, after having him here at our place for so long we became so bonded to him that we could not bring our selves to sell him, he currently resides with my baby sister and her family, so we get to see him ALL the time! He loves when we visit, he gets so excited and we bring his brother Dragon along, they have SO much fun playing together. These babies are incrediable! They are truly a one of a kind!
Deanna
Jim and Deanna,
Jeannie took Chance to the vet for another checkup on Friday in order to adjust his flea-tick medication to his weight, which is now 24.5 pounds, up from 14 pounds four weeks earlier. No sign of worms or any other problem. He's a wonderful pup, chases and retrieves balls and other toys with great enthusiasm, and (???) brings a stick or a pebble into the house almost every time he comes in from outside. Our vet and his entire staff are wild about him, as are we and our family and friends.
Bill
Deanna,
Here are some pictures of Montana...let me know if you cannot see
them. I will have more to you soon. He is getting to be a big ole
boy ( i think he weighs about 29 pounds). He gets along with other
dogs extremely well, and has been a joy to have in my house. I think
his favorite thing to do is to get his bone and come sit in my lap to
chew on it...he LOVES to sit in people's laps. Just a very loyal dog
already, thank you for sharing him with us!
Leanne
Here are some pictures of the gang. Miles has decided that Dexter is his big brother and they play until they drop. Sometimes Dex gets a little too rough and Miles squeals like crazy, but he's not hurt. Little guy figured out how to use the dog door and went potty on the decknow he has figured out how to go up and down the deck steps, which are kind of scary 'cause they are open at the back. But, he manages OK. Now he goes down to potty and comes back up to the house. He is so smart already. Pete says we picked a good one and I agree. He is fitting in so well. Bear is still a little hesitant around him, but only when we are looking. When she thinks we can't see her, she plays with the puppy. Elton is still being a stinker, but that is his nature. Once Miles is bigger, he'll get over it.
Take care, Karen and the gang
I had my father send you pictures of Fritz and Wilbur. They aren't very good, but at least you can see the profile, and a good face shot. Everyone remarks how cute he is! I just got him neutered, and he weighs 33 lbs. He is a lot smaller than I was expecting, but he is healthy, and a sweetie. My sister has a Clumber spaniel that has her 2nd corneal absess, and is going to need surgery again on that eye, to the tune of $2500! So, I'm happy he's healthy.
thanks,
Stephanie
She has a new name, Loosy. Her name comes from the song Hold On Loosely which for a long time I thought was Hold On Lucy (hence the spelling). The lyrics are something like, hold on loosely and don't let go, you've got to give her freedom but don't let go completely. I thought that was a good sentiment for raising a dog.
She's getting along famously with everyone. In the pictures ABOVE you can see her with her best friend in the whole world, Squeakers the cat. Squeakers lets Loosy do pretty much anything she wants with him. He'll just sit there and let her bite her head and sometimes even let her pull him across the floor by his head. If he does get fed up he just swats her a good one. Squeakers cousin Thumper (they were born at the same time and their mothers were sisters) also lets Loosy play with him but on a more limited basis and he's known to give her a stiff one, two punch. The third cat, Oliver, is older by a year or two and he keeps his distance. Loosy wants to make friends with him too but he's having none of it. He hisses and growls but it doesn't deter Loosy. She'll get into butt up / head down play mode and give him little barks. Of course the kids love her to death as I do.
Her housetraining is coming along. She has good days and bad days. When she's alone in the bathroom while I'm at work she poops and pees on the pee pad.
When I'm trying to sleep during the day she only lets me sleep (on the bed with me) for an hour or two at a stretch but we're working on that. Went to the vet and got second shots etc. How are the others doing? (Loosy told me to ask about her brothers and sisters)
All the best Tom
Hi Deanna,
I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am that I found your website last fall after my springer spaniel of 12 years had died. I was broken hearted, but I knew I wanted another pup to grow up with my Aussie.
I love the springers, but when I saw your cross with the Clumbers I was captivated by their uniqueness and being more mellow, which fits into my lifestyle better now that I am getting older. I appreciate all my e-mails you put up with and your prompt answers until Stella and I found each other!
I wasn't able to make it down to visit beforehand, but I had heard from other owners that you had a fabulous setup, and I wouldn't be sorry to get a dog from you.
When we came to pick up Stella I was impressed with your spotlessly clean pens for the pupsters, the room you had for all your dogs and how gorgeous they all looked.
Jo and I really enjoyed meeting all your dogs, most of all how friendly and easy going they are.
Stella is just a little over seven months now and weighs 60.3#.....what a love!
She has the best personality......sweet and loveable, very confident, not hyper at all but lots of energy and fun, smart, and LOVES to swim!
If anybody wants to know about the clumingers they are more than welcome to e-mail me.
You are awesome, and I will keep in touch with more pictures.
Hopefully nothing will happen to these two, but I would definitely be back for another cluminger.
Always a friend, Irene Jensen

Barnabus, He’s so cute. If we didn’t have five dogs, we would snatch him up in a heart beat. We didn’t get the German Shorthaired Senior from the Rimrock Humane Society. It turned out that he was too dog-aggressive. Our friend who runs a Weimaraner/GSP rescue asked us to go evaluate a senior Weim in Missoula to see if he would fit into her rescue program.
Well, when we got there, he was so traumatized by the last year, we decided that he needed to stay with us. He had been picked up as a stray in Sept, 07, and adopted out. Then he had been passed around 3 times and picked up as a stray again. He is an older dog. Our vet said he is at least 7. So, he moved in and stayed with us. The unconditional love of the Spaniels and Elton is wonderful. They adopted him right away and after the initial sniffing, went right into the licking mode. Miles tried to convince him that he should play, but Hunter would have no part of it. Miles finally gave up and has decided that he should just lick and cuddle. When we picked up the old guy, his name was Duke, but he wouldn’t answer to it, so we named him Hunter. They all get along so well.
Dexter, our Cluminger, is SOOOOO wonderful. Everyone who is hesitant about getting a Springer should get a Cluminger. The Clumber personality is coming out more and more and he is just so laid back and relaxed. He is still growing into the Clumber confirmation, though I don’t think he will ever be as stocky as Ish. But, he is coming closer to being a Clumber than a Springer. When we go on our hikes, he just ambles along and goes off sniffing.
Bear is probably going to be the birdiest of the bunch. When she can’t find scent on the ground, she runs with her nose up – like it’s out in front of her. She holds it off the ground, but not too high. She is awesome to watch.
So, just a note to let you know they all get along. We know that Barnabus will find a new home ASAP. There is someone out there who will love him with his cute little wink. He is such a doll. We are sorry that he had his accident, but he looks like a trooper.
Oh, and Dragon is looking more like a Clumber in every picture you post.
I am attaching pictures of Hunter. I haven’t been able to get a group shot yet.

We went to our camper over the last weekend and stayed for 4 days. Pete
wasbusy helping put in our friend's water system from the spring on the hill.
He helped put in almost 800 feet of water pipe. Well, it was too hot to do
anything much, so I sat in the shade, read a book and took pictures of the
dogs. My "Bear" is always so photogenic. I love to take pictures of her.
She is, and always will be, such a sweetie. Dexter was being very
photogenic himself and I just had to send these shots to you. He is looking
more and more like a Clumber with ESS coloring. My vet said that it would
probably take 3 years for his head to fill out, and she seems to be right to
this point. He is slowly, but surely, getting the Clumber look. I love it.
Are any of the other puppies from the other litters starting to look like
Clumbers? Ever since I saw my first Clumber, I have wanted one. Gee, that
was 25 years ago. But, I didn't have the bucks then or now. But, when
Dexter came into our lives, it didn't matter anymore. He is the best of
both worlds. I love his Clumber mellowness. He just plods along and
doesn't get upset about anything. Except when I tipped over the camp chair
and fell on him. Then he had a few words to say to me. He also told us he
didn't like the knots cut out of his fringe. I still have to do his
armpits, but he was getting LOUD. He has such a funny growl. It is not
menacing, just a low rumble that says "Quit it". I love the way he talks
when he is happy -- especially when he has bone in his mouth and it is all
garbled.
I can't thank you enough for the wonderful dogs that you breed. When I tell
people that I have two and half Springers, their initial reaction is alarm.
"How can you have those hyper dogs in your house?" Well I tell them, for
one, they are Bred to be mellow; they have a dog door and go outside and
exercise themselves, and Deanna's dogs are just laid-back. I try to explain
that Springers don't have the Brittany personality, but oh my, sometimes
they just don't understand. I do and we love our dogs. Two might have been
better, but how do you chose between them? They are our family and we just
love them. They are all different and that's what makes them fun to have.
Miles is still the "puppy" and because we got him when he was only seven
weeks old, he is the most bonded. He thinks he is MY dog and will always
push his way into the crowd for attention. He has a funny way of using his
butt to push the others out of the way.
So, thanks again for your wonderful dogs. Thanks for sharing them with us
and trusting us with your babies.
Karen and Pete, Bear, Dexter, Miles, and Pound-Puppy Elton

Merry Christmas! I have been going to e-mail you for a long time and just haven't done it. Roo is doing great. Spoiled Rotten. I have never seen a dog watch TV like he does. He likes the animals on TV and thinks they all should play with him. Roo currently weighs 58.6 lbs. Max is still with us and holding his own.
I love to look at the web page and see the puppies you have for sale. Maybe some day we will get another one, but not until Max is gone. How rare are the blue roan puppies? They are adorable!!!! I have never seen that color before.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. If we were get that way we will bring Roo by for a visit.
she arrived and is wonderful....we just love her...thanks so much for everything, and I iwll send pics!
she loves the other dogs and they are getting used to her...she went right up and cudddled with my older of the two dog...
I can't believe what a wonderful dog she is....
Well, here I go again: TOOTING my horn for your wonderful dogs. Let me say this to anyone who wants to buy a puppy – get them while you can. They are sooooo great.
I have two “pups” out of River (grandpa to Copper’s babies) and that makes them Copper’s ½ brother and sister. You couldn’t ask for a sweeter bunch of “pups”. They have beauty, brains and love. So, if you want a sweet “pup”, get one of these. River’s grandbabies will be so great. Oh, and of course, there is Dexter – our Hybrid. He is from your first litter of these wonderful pups and he is sooooo mellow. He looks like a Clumber in Springer colors. So guys, if you are not sure that you want a Springer, who may/may not have more spunk than you think you want, get a Hybrid. You won’t be sorry. And, if you think they won’t fit in, if you have other dogs, think again. They love all comers. They have big hearts and they all sleep together on the couch; the dog beds; your bed; where ever they can get close to each other.
Yup, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
As always,
Pete and Karen, Bear, Miles, Dexter, Elton, our “pound pup”,

Hi Deanna,
Thought I would give an update on Marley "piglet". He is a very busy boy to say the least, he likes to get into a lot of mischief . He loves the water he pefers to walk through puddles instead of walking around them especially if they are muddy ones. He has a very proud adatude and is very happy boy. one day he pulled the garden hose through the dog door and wrapped it all the way around our couch! just glad it wasn’t on!! hahaha Here are a few pics taken at about 3 months playing in the water from the hose.
Thanks for him!!!

Hi Deanna,
Happy New Year and hope you are well! Just wanted to drop you a little note and let you know how well Freddie and Hazel (aka Dancer) are doing. Hazel is growing healthy and strong quickly and she just loves Freddie with all of her heart! She is an angel, I must say....she is so similiar to Freddie in some of her habits, its so funny to watch. She is far less anxious than Freddie (although he is outgrowing this), she is very laid back and takes every moment as it comes. All of the neighbors stop to ask what type of dogs they are and comment on how cute! She just loves to be in the middle of the action and she handles it all so well. Freddie has adjusted to not being the center of attention or gets more used to it every day. He is so good with her too, he allows her to climb all over him as you will see in the attached photo. For a few days there I was thinking to myself, oh what have I done, can I handle this but, shame on me for that thought ever crossing my mind, we couldn't be happier! I took the dogs to my parents house tonight for dinner and they both just sat under the table quietly while we ate and talked, I couldn't have been more proud, for a 9 month and 3 month old puppy to behave so well, I was just amazed. Hazel wants to be just like him!
Anyhow, just wanted to give you an update and send a few photos and thank you one more time for facilitating the creation of two of the best pups ever!

Thank you, Eryn and Deanna, for two of the coolest dogs around ~ atleast to me!
More picture of Marley "piglet" growing up :)
Hi Deanna
My family renamed the puppy Buster. He's doing really great, and he's getting big FAST. He's starting to get into EVERYTHING too, he's quite the little monster. When I first brought him home he was so sweet and quiet, but now he's starting to realize he has a voice and he's so funny because he'll bark at anything that moves. His personality is so funny. On Monday he's going to see the vet to get his shots up to date, so that should be interesting! But other than that everything is going great with him, he's a really easy going puppy and an absolute sweet heart! These are the only pics I have for now but as he gets bigger I'll keep you up to date.
Hope you had a wonderful Holiday
Melissa
Sorry, I haven’t written sooner, but I have been a single parent since last Friday and not a lot of spare time. Roo is doing awesome and I am so glad we have him. He now weighs 32lbs and Max only weighs 27lbs. Roo and Kayla, our daughter, fell in love with each other at Christmas. We had snow at Christmas and Roo thoroughly enjoyed himself. He liked the decorations on the Christmas tree and would bring them to us. On Christmas he was a blast to watch with all the wrapping paper and empty boxes. Just like having a toddler around. He is still shy and timid around unfamiliar sounds. He enjoys are evening walks when the weather cooperates. When we are on our way back home from walking and he gets his scent he has quite the determination to get home. He is puppy and loves playing tug. We love his freckles on his face.
Deanna,
Thanks again for everything. We just love Susie. As you can see from the picture, she already has Charlie all sorted out.
Melanie
I just wanted to send one more so you can see how much ticking she has.
She is a beautiful dog and you can be proud of the springer/clumber cross...would love to meet them all!
Hi Deanna,
Sorry I've taken so long to get back to you about our precious, no longer little puppy (Owl) Bailey. Bailey now weighs forty pounds. I sometimes nickname him bruiser - because of his broad shoulders and the way he walks. I delayed writing hoping to have some photos to send you. We do actually have a lot of photos, but since I 'm not computer literate, I have to wait for my wife to load them into our computer.
Nevertheless - the boy is doing really well. He and his sister Loee are at play from the moment we rise in the morning -until after we want to go to bed at night. Both are definitely a high energy and well matched playmates! Bailey follows his big sister everywhere she goes - including these day - over every snowbank in the neighborhood and up the Matterhorn snow hill (about fifteen feet) piled right in front of our house. While it took him a little longer than she to get to the top - he fearlessly stepped off and almost slid the whole way down on his bottom. What a guy! Today I had both dogs with me to do some errands. One place I stopped was Petsmark to get some dry food and a bag of treats. I had to make one more stop before heading home. So I tried to hide the treats under my heavy brief case - then set off to to the store. By the time I returned about fifteen minutes later, there was Bailey in the front seat with the open bag of treats eating his little heart out.
Both dog are already great frriends, partners and work well together getting into mischief - because 'the boy' is still kind of short - his taller sister assists him to get things from tables, counters and even off of our furniture. She throws the stuff down and he chews on it. In spite of all the toys and chews they have - it always seems like they delight in adding one more something to their collection of chewables.
Lest you think that Arizona and our home is totally in the wild west- I am in doggie obedience class. Bailey, being the very smart puppy that he is, gets all the commands immediately but has an extremely short attention span for that sort of serious stuff - he prefers to spend time playing with his other classmates. Of course, being who he is, the teacher doesn't mind.
I'm guessing that anyone who takes one of these guys home definitely finds that they have a lot of dog stories to tell. Like (just to add one or two more) when he first arrved in Flagstaff - people would stop cars to ask about him. Of course walking him on the downtown streets people constantlyran up to us and wanted to touch him! They all wanted to know what kind of puppy he is. I proudly explained - he a cluminger from Montana.
I could go on and on about him as I'm sure other families tend to do about their dogs. Surely we are not unique in our awe of these wonderful cluminger puppies. He seemed to accept us as his family from the get go and we our certainly happy that he is with us.
So that's about it for now. Hope to send photos in the near future. Thanks again for giving us our wonderful Mr. Bailey!

Deanna,
Yes, I will send you some pictures soon. He is still sleeping with me on the bed and is good and quiet all night. The labs are getting more and more used to him and are accepting him. I brought him to work with me yesterday and everybody loved him and wanted to take him home -- over my dead body! He was so good in the office and slept under my desk most of the day. So adorable! I didn't bring him today and I miss him dearly. I think I'll try to talk the bosses into letting me bring him everyday -- that's what places like Google let their employees do. He's just the best puppy ever!
I'm sorry you miss him so much, but I know now why you do!
I'll keep in touch.

I've been wanting to send you some pictures for a long time, but I can't figure out how to reduce the size for emailing. So I'm enclosing one picture and I'm going to put some more on a CD and mail them to you. This picture is of my daughter Valerie & Sukie, now Sammy. He is so attached to Valerie, but being a 22 year old, she's frequently away from home.
Sammy has been a loving companion this past year. He's a lucky dog! He comes to work with me in my office at least 3 days a week. A pet "spa" opened next door and now he gets a bath and "beautified" about every 3/4 weeks. He's also such a clown, just as you said he was. He always needs to have something in his mouth. It could be a toy, or it could be the corner of the coffee table -- we're working on that! He sleeps on my bed with me every night too.
His personality is all Springer (very energetic) along with his markings. But his body is large boned and long just like the clumbers. We love him to pieces and are very glad to have him in our family.
I will send you the pictures soon.

Here's another picture for you. I forgot to wish you a Happy New Year and a belated Merry Christmas too!

Here are a few pictures of baby Hannah (Samantha). She's doing well and is progressing with house breaking. She likes someone to be around but is good with sleep time in the crate. She is very mouthy. I think this will be our biggest training issue. So far, have been distracting with chew bones and toys but her "puppy" teeth are wicked. Any suggestions on how to work with her on this? She is very smart and catches on quickly.
