UPDATES from our WONDERFUL PUPPY OWNERS 2005~2006

Deanna,
It's been a while since we have spoken, and we just wanted to give you an update on our boy.  He is growing like crazy, about 33 pounds!  He is just the light of our life and is at that super fun stage.  He is the most social animal we have ever met and fearless (such a curious fella)!  He LOVES other dogs and people as well.  He looks forward to the weekends where our whole days are spent together as a family.  Since he has had all of his shots we can now take him to the dog parks.  We have an off-leash dog park about 5 minutes from where we live and he absolutely loves it.  There are usually bigger dogs there (full grown labs) but he still loves to play.  It is ritaul now that we walk to the dog park, he plays, and then we walk home and is carried straight to the bath tub for a good rinse.....he is getting much better about baths and the water too!  The dog park really tires him out, he usually sleeps the rest of the day after playing.
Oh...Charlie has been swimming a few times.  He loves that too, and is so proud of himself.  There will be more of that once the weather gets warm again.
He is in puppy obedience classes and is doing very well.  He knows sit, down, come, off (a challenging one), wait, and we are working on a bunch of others.  He also loves to fetch.  Sometimes he would rather not drop, but he could still fetch until his little legs fell off!
We just love him to pieces and he is such a beauty, he gets compliments from every person he meets, his big paws seem to attract lots of attention. :)  We would love for him to have a companion someday, he would sure love a playmate.  When that time comes we will definately be contacting you.  We are so pleased with this little angel!
Someday soon when we can make it that way, we will bring him to visit.  Oh, and we will send you a Christmas card (with a family portrait) as soon as we can get that put together.  We attached a few photos so you can see what a handsome boy Charlie is growing up to be.  We can't believe he is already 4 and a half months old!
Take care,

Hi Deanna,

We just got home with Cruiser from the airport.  He arrived safe and sound.  He is so gorgeous and is the most beautiful English springer spaniel we have ever seen!!!  He was so friendly and loving right from the start.  My daughter bought him a stuffed pheasant toy and his eyes lit up as soon as he saw it.  He started dragging it all around making us laugh so hard that it made us cry.  : )   Thank you so much for bringing Cruiser into our lives!  We will keep in touch.

Happy holidays from the Fry family.  I haven't had time for pictures but must tell you about that truly remarkable Tucker.
Breeze had 10 beautiful puppies Sept 20 and they have been most fortunate to have Uncle Tucker.  He has undertaken raising these 10 bouncing, biting, growling, loveable children.  He takes them outside every morning and plays tag
romps, rolls wrestles and teaches them.  He has unlimited patience and when they are finally worn out from all the activity and have adjourned to their bed in the house, he comes in and lies on the floor outside their pen area and sleeps.  I have never seen a dog more patient or loving.  Tucker's temperament is unbelievable even for a springer. We plan to keep one female from this litter as it will give Tucker his own mate.  We had 8 females so Tuck will have lots to choose from.  Thank you again and again for Tucker.  Breeze has also matured with the puppies and is finally settling down into quite a nice dog, she is always ready for a run but doesn't try to escape like she use to.  Happy holidays to you and yours and I promise pictures soon.  Tucker is already bigger than Lefty in height and towers over Breeze and Poncho, he is all we ever wanted in a springer.

Hi Deanna,
Hope this finds you feeling well and in good spirits.
When we got Hannah, we told Ariel her name and she said she went to school with a friend with that name so we decided to change it. I had come across some information in all my research that said you can change a pets name if it is close to the original name and not be as confusing to the pet. We decided on Annie. It took a little while but she seems to have adjusted pretty well. Annie is such a good little girl. FULL of energy, playful, loves to chew on what ever she can get a hold of. She really enjoys it when we forget to pick our shoes up off the floor. She'll pick one up and just take off like a bolt of lightning. It's hard to catch her and when you get close enough to her she takes off to get the other shoe. LOL. What a turkey bird she is. We bought her some doggie biscuits and she just goes nuts for them. I was trying to teach her to sit the other night and gave her a biscuit after she stayed put for two seconds. A little later I was doing laundry and she was next to me and was acting like she wanted to be petted. I bent down and held my hands out, she bopped her nose into my left palm and
then bopped her nose into my right palm. When she saw I had no treat she turned around and walked away and gave me this look like "what, I have to do a trick"?  I just thought that was pretty cute. She sleeps through the night most times. We go out to go potty last thing before bedtime and she generally sleeps till about 5:30 or 6:30. One time she even made it till 7:00a.m. Whoo-hoo! Every body who has seen her just loves her. Our veterinarian could not stop complementing on great she looked and was in
such good health. I must say and my husband says this too. You and your family take such wonderful care of your puppies. I could never have asked for a better puppy or gotten one for that matter. You all are definitely "TOP DOG". Two paws up, the best. I have an appointment this saturday to take her to get a bath and some bows and have her picture taken with "Santa Claws" at petsmart. I can not wait to send you a copy of the picture. She is settling down and things are really looking up for our family. Thank you for
all your help.  Wishing you and your family a very merry christmas and a happy new year!
Take care, Alana

Hi Deanna,
It has been a long time since I have contacted you regarding our wonderful springer Cooper.  Cooper was born on 3/20/03 to Hunter and Panda.  He is "cousins"
with Mae and Hank.  We are absolutely loving Cooper!! He is so smart and cuddly.  He loves to play ball and go for walks.  I think he actually takes us for a walk
instead of us taking him.  :)  He likes to chase the birds out of our backyard as well...and if he sees a squirrel, watch out!  You really have to plug your ears because he barks and barks! We have always felt very lucky to have gotten such a
wonderful springer like Cooper.  But, we really found
out just how lucky we were when we brought home our
new baby boy Collin.  We were nervous at first how
Cooper would react since he was our "baby" for two
years.  Well, Cooper and Collin are best buds.  Cooper
LOVES Collin and is so good with him.  He likes to
lick his face and hands and just loves to cuddle with
him.  Cooper will be chewing on a bone and Collin will
try to take it from him.  Cooper will just let him
have it and then will gently take it back so he can
chew on it.  We think as they both get older, they
will be best friends.  We are so pleased with our
Cooper.  He is so good around our son and other kids
as well.  We are so blessed to have him in our lives!
Thank you for allowing us to adopt Cooper into our
lives.  We love him so much!  He is the best dog and
such a huge part of our family!

Well here we are finally, from Thanksgiving to Christmas!!  Here are a couple pics of Naomie!
We absolutely LOVE her - she is a sweet, sweet, sweetie, not to mention very smart, thanks
for giving her such a wonderful start on life - it really shows, she adjusted so quickly, I don't
know what we would do without her now.  She's little, growing up fast - we don't care how big
she gets - we are just so happy to have her.  Merry Christmas to you and your family, thank
you for being such a wonderful breeder!  I do shows periodically in Missoula, we'll come visit
sometime so you can see her.

Hey now,  We got him!!  Arrived at around 5:30 pm last night.  That little rascal sure was hungry...thirsty too!!  We played and played all nite long.  He fell asleep with Audrey on the couch, he and I went out around 1:00 am so he could do his business.  Then he slept with me until 5:00 am.  He sure is springy and bouncy when he runs....ha ha ha.  We love him....Thanks again, and merry christmas to all you nice folks and family out in big sky country.  This old hippie is glad to have a new buddy to hang with, he really liked the ride home in the old ford pick me up truck........See ya.........Gary  2005~ New Hampshire
Again, Happy Holidays,

Just thought I'd drop a note to let you know how poorly Moose is getting along with his running buddy.
He'd rather sleep on someone than his bed! Seriously, he's doing very well.

Thanks again,

Hi Deanna,

I know it's been a long time, but I just wanted to say Happy New Year!  We wanted you to see your BIG GUY!!  You will know him as Savage Jr., but we call him
"Rocky"- Mountain Prairie Dog of North Dakota Kramer!  Yes, we know it a long name but its fun telling people.
He is doing great and had a great first year of hunting ( I will send some more pictures) He is about 55lbs and will be 1 year old on Jan 18th.  He is such a good puppy and is VERY spoiled.  We wouldn't have it any other way!!!   Thank you so very much again for everything.

Hi Deanna,
I thought I would send along some current pictures of Tasman.  He's about 55 pounds now and still growing!!  He bears a remarkable resemblance to him mom and is becoming one of the most beautiful springers I've ever seen.  We've started training him for field.  He has strong instincts for game birds, particularly pheasant and quail.  We're also working on obedience.  He's smart, confident, and assertive.  We adore him, but we are looking forward to when he finishes teething!!  He's quite a chewer.  Hope that all is well in Montana and the new year is off to a terrific start.

Hi Deanna!
It's Jocelyn from North Carolina!  I'm finally sending some pictures of our sweet boy Brandon who was renamed Montana by my son.  He has been the best puppy!  We love him sooooo much!  He makes us laugh every single day, and he really does have the best personality.  You do an amazing job, and we feel so lucky to have him.  He and my son are "best buddies"...they are always together!  Hope you enjoy the pictures...will send more as he continues to grow!

Deanna,
The snow in the attached pictures is nothing like you see often in Montana but southern CA finally got some rain and we had snow down to about 2000 feet. I grabbed the Jeep, Dice and Domino and the camera and drove less than an hour to find some fun fresh new snow. The boys had not seen snow since they were 7 weeks old!  They loved it, ran around like crazy nuts, and we had a great time.

Deanna-
The girls are doing great!  We go to the vet tomorrow for our check ups.  What I am most astonished over is their sweet, charming behavior.  They are so polite!!  I have NEVER been around such polite puppies.  Their manners are terrific.  We've been hand feeding them separately and playing with their feet, ears, and mouth;  they are very giving and NEVER feel threatened.  Did Lula and Griz give them such good manners?  Targhee is very quiet and just wants to be loved and held.  "Action Quinn" loves the backyard and is very bouncy, but she does quite down once she is back in the house- already.  They are wonderful and I am very very grateful.  I have so missed having a dog  in the house;  now we are overflowing with joy.  These girls are living love.  thanks!

Hi,
I couldn't access 2 of the pictures I wanted to send-the size comparison and the digging one.  The one with the shoe is what she does since we brought her home a year ago.  She does not "steal" things anymore, however.  (Thank goodness).  I think it is a pretty picture of her.  I think you can see Lemonade in her in that picture.  Sorry the other ones didn't come through.
Take care.

Hello Deanna,

I am so long overdue to forward pictures to you.  Fiona turned one year old on March 10th.  She's 50 lbs. now and all leg!!!!  The attached pictures don't quite show how lanky she is but she is a very solid girl!  I'll send more pictures. Fiona continues to be the light of our household.  Still smart as a whip.   Still walks around the house with her blanket like Linus.  She has the sweetest most precious personality.   Other dog owners say how polite Fiona is because she lets other dogs play with her toys, doesn't get possessive and just wants to play.  She is also fabulous with babies.  There are several small children in the neighborhood and she's very good with them.  She understands the word "gentle" and she's very, very gentle with them.  It's very sweet.
At Christmas time, she graduated from her crate to a "big girl" bed which is also in our bedroom.  She took to that right away!!! Deanna, she actually understands the phrase, night-night.   When I decide to get ready for bed I say.  "Fiona? ready to go night-night?".  Fiona gets up, grabs her blanket, follows me to the bedroom and goes on her bed.  For the most part,  she stays on her bed all night until my alarm goes off and then I feel her come over to my side of the bed and she waits for me to get up.
She is always a love-bug but especially in the morning she really wants to snuggle.  She and I snuggle together for about 10 minutes before Dale gets up.  Then when she sees him, her entire body shakes!!!    She's definitely Daddy's girl!I've read that Springer's are loyal to the entire family and that's certainly the case with Fiona.  We love her very much.
I hope you and your family are well.

Hi Deanna,
This is Lisa Pott. We bought a black/white female pup from you last year. She was born on Jan 5th, 2005. We are the ones who live in Ellensburg Washington. I have not been a good communicator in terms of  letting you know how things are going. So sorry. Tanna is a wonderful dog. We continue to love her to death. She is our true lover girl. She goes with us everywhere. She is a happy "third child". I wish I had all the energy that she has. Talk to you soon,

Deanna,   Here are a few pictures of my babies Callie and Archer. Archer is the tri and Callie is black and white.  Callie is will be four on may 22 and archer just turned 3 on march 18.  I will email you some more pics from when they went to the beach.  They both are addicted to the water.  In one pic they are howling, we like to think that they are singing, there are so cute.

Thank you

Lindsay
Deanna,
This is an update on the puppy you sold me He was a puppy from Lula and Griz Born 1/06/06
I just wanted to let you know he is doing well he is going to doggie classes and is doing outstanding according to the teacher.
He loves to travel with me ever other weekend to my parent's house he loves going in the car. He is growing faster than anything I have ever seen. He was no trouble at all potty training and yesterday he got his own doggie door and last night was the first night I didn't have to get up with him so thing are going along just great. Attached are a few pic's taken Good Friday and right after we got him hope you enjoy then.
And again I want to say thank you for doing such a wonderful job with your breeding of these dogs. Your Family has helped fill a lot of empty hearts with love from these wonderful puppies.
We thank you for our new little boy Augie his personality is wonderful!
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks again,

Hello!
Just want to write and say how "thrilled" we are with Libby (Naomi).  Libby is currently enrolled in
basic dog obedience class that meets every Wednesday night. Everything comes really quick and easy for her.
Libby lives for her daily three mile walk in the hills above Helena and six block walk in the evenings.
Everyone we meet along the way all say the same thing: "What an beautiful puppy!"
We can't wait to introduce her to playing "fetch"in Canyon Ferry Lake once the water warms up in June.
Thank you for such a great dog.  :o)

Hi Deanna,
The attachments are of puppy Dash and our adult springer Fritz. We lost Fritz only a month after Dash arrived. He had an intestinal cancer. But, hopefully you can see they got along well for the time they had together.
Also, are some pictures of Dash at six months. FYI, the family tradition of "bear hugs" lives on thru Dash. That is a predominate trait he displays all the time. He is just a great pup!!

Hi:
It's been a while; here is trapper "resting" after his third birthday party.  - He gets more guests for his party than I do mine!!

Returned to the high country and are loving it.  Trapper especially misses his river during the winter.

Hope all is well with your dogs. This was Trapper's 3rd birthday and as you can see he is resting up from it.

Hi Deanna!
Please accept my apology for the delay in sending photos to you. Life has been so busy, as I am certain it has been for you as well. How are you? Is your daughter excited about heading off to college? Graduation must be nearby. Hooray! By the look of the photos online, your little ones are sprouting up. :-) Beautiful pups, by the way - Rupers is an especially
gorgous dad.  I am looking forward to the time when we are ready to bring another one of your pups home.
There are so many more photos I have to share with you of Autumn as she developed into the cutie pie she is today. She is such a doll baby! We love her SO much!
Honestly, she is so affectionate, intelligent, and pack-oriented. We've taken her camping, and she just loves to explore nature, is great with kids, and has so much fun doing anything and everything with us. She experimented with swimming at Lake Cleawox, played in the sand dunes in Florence and found seagulls to be intriguing. She is such a little character! My funny girl! Lovesto play in our yard - especially for an audience. She enjoys visits to dog parks, cuddling on the bed and couch, car rides, hikes, walks around the neighborhood, etc.. We are just about done with an obedience class that she has done very well with. Our vet always reminds us of how smart Autumn is. She truly is!
I'm really looking forward to training her as a therapy pet, and going to hospitals and nursing homes
with her. That should occur sometime next year. We're also hoping to get her involved with agility or
flyball. Well, that's probably more than enough bragging on my part. Autumn is just so wonderful - I can't say enough
about how she has enriched our lives. 'll send more photos in a bit. I have some of us at The Doggie Dash (a week ago). It is a 2 mile walk to benefit the Oregon Humane Society. There were roughly 2,000 dogs this year.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! (I'm glad youliked the card.)
Blessings to you and your family,
Kristin, Dave & Autumn :-)

Hi Deanna,

Sorry no pictues attached, we will send some as soon as we get them downloaded. Just wanted to update you on Charlie as he approaches a year old next month! We wake up every day and find ourselves so lucky to have Charlie (Charlie-Flipper according to my niece) in our lives. He is the best dog ever! He has grown into such a handsome, lovable, gentle, well behaved little boy. He goes to doggy day camp (basically 8 hours of play at a great training facility where he also attends his classes) two times a week and is known as "happy boy, and wigglebottom." He absolutely loves to play and is always the life of the party! ;) He is just a big goofball and that is what we love the most. He know spends lots of time with our niece and nephew in Portland, OR. My niece is almost 4 and my nephew is a year and a half. Every time we visit we leave there so proud because he is so wonderful with the kids. They just hang on him and pull his ears and fur and he just takes it. Never once a peep or a bad look, just the most gentle creature ever. He usually gets up and walks away once he is covered in baby saliva, but the kids just follow him wherever he goes, and that is what the day normally consists of. After a weekend with the kids he sleeps for days! Never once has he shown even a hint of agression.....he is always a smiley boy. I am convinced we must be the happiest springer parents ever....and then I read the other testimonials and it dawns on me that Springers really are the best dogs!
Thank you for raising such wonderful puppies! Charlie is the love of our life and we couldn't imagine our life without him. We don't know what we did before we had him!!
Everything is wonderful! We will send pictures of Charlie soon, all 55 pounds of him. :) We can't wait until the time comes for a brother or sister for Charlie! Everyone always comments on his beauty and asks where we got him, we are proud to tell them all about you. :)

Hope all is well with you and your family.
Take care,
Justin, Donna, and of course Charlie

We are so loving our puppy Kira.  She is doing well.  She has more and more energy each week.  She caught a bird in our backyard and did not want to give it to us in fact she turned and ran the other way.  I think we need some training on the retrieving part of bird hunting! :)  We just got back from a great camping trip at Lake Chelan.  Kira had a blast eating the fire wood, visiting lots of people, and playing in the water.

She is really smart!! She knows how to sit, stay, and come!! She would do almost anything for FOOD! She is eating everything slugs, worms, bird, bird poop, cat poop, mouse, and rabbit poop!!!! I don't see how she can even touch her own dog food but she does eat every last bit of food in her bowl!!!

We thought you would like to see some updated pictures.  Can you please share them with Alex.  Thanks so much!  Enjoy.....
Dear Deanna,

I can hardly believe it's been a year since Tasman was born.  He's now a 66 pound copy of Berretta.  We're working with a private trainer in hopes of entering him into field competition next year.  He has a terrific nose for birds, but he also has a will of his own.  J  Teaching him things like patience is taking some effort, but he's coming along.  The picture was taken a few months ago during one of his training sessions.
My mother is looking for a black and white female to breed back to Tasman in the future, so I thought about contacting you.  My parents are traveling this summer, so they won't be ready to settle down with puppy rearing until this fall.   Do you anticipate any pairings later this year that would be a suitable complement for Tasman's pedigree?
Any thoughts you may have about finding a "girlfriend" for Tasman would be appreciated.
Thanks much,
Cheri

Hi, Deanna,
Thought you might like a new picture of Obi - he has had a new
brother since last year,  EZ ("Beezer") who is half springer and half
English Setter, from what we can tell.  They love each other to death
- Beezer is Obi's bodyguard, and Obi is teaching Beezer to come out
of his shell and be more open to people (he was abused, but he is a
wonderful dog and we love him just as much as Obi.)

Thanks again for helping us find our little buddy - he is  the best
dog and absolutely has to meet every person he sees to give them a
kiss and hug.  He still likes to cause trouble, as you can see.
Take care,

Hey Gang.Hope all is well.  This girl loves to play Basketball so much that we call her "Hoops".  She loves to play this one.  In the beginning she showed us a stubborn streak that Boonedock did not seem to possess.  She is coming along nicely, I suppose it was a period of adjustment.  She is really "springy", more than any other that I have ever loved..[4].  She loves the water and swimming, really quite a sight to see her come a running and then bound on those springs as she flies into the water.  Friends and family really get a kick out of it.then she swims like crazy.watch out because the first one she catches in the water better be ready for some kisses from Miss Hoops..LOL..The most amusing thing is to see her grab on to one of Boones sticks, he always is finding a new stick, or sapling and runs around with it.  Imagine the two of them, sort of a tug of war, pulling and then running like crazy while each holding on.ha ha ha..I gotta get some pix to ya anyhow take care and enjoy the rest of the summerToot Toot

Bear (now called Eli) arrived safely yesterday morning.  What a beautiful dog he is much more striking than he was in the photos!  He slept a good bit yesterday to recover from the flight, but he is doing very well. He definitely follows me
around everywhere I go.  It took him all of about five
minutes to discover that he could climb on top of his
crate and jump from there to my kitchen counter!
I will give you more update over the next few days
Thanks

Eli's trip home from the airport :)
Deanna
Eli is doing great!  Everybody remarks at how beautiful he is.  He is a very loving dog, and follows me everywhere. He has a very sweet temperament, and is not hyper at all. I am now in my office, and he is sitting quietly at my feet.
You were right when you said he liked to observe before "springing."  I took him to a friend's house to play with their six month old Bischon.  This Bischon is a very active, energetic puppy.  When we got there Eli hung back with me for about 5 minutes before he would approach her (she kept charging up to him, trying to get him to play). Once that initial waiting period was over, however, he was a ball of fire!  For the next two hours they romped, chased, and played with each other nonstop.
He is also very athletic, and quite a climber.  I put a baby gate up in the kitchenit took one day for him to figure out how to climb over that gate!  He is an excellent dog, and we have quickly bonded.  Thank you for breeding such great springers!

Hi Deanna,
I wanted to let you know that the puppy known as Buck-o is doing great!  We named him Beau, he is so beautiful for a male, he has some red in his coat and you can see it in the sunlight and oh my gosh he is very very very lovable, and loves to cuddle,  he is 14 pounds, he is long and getting tall, when I upload pictures to my computer I will send you some.  He is very spoiled by everyone they just fall in love with him.  We have a pool and the little stinker likes to swim, he cant get in unless we are there though, we have some picture of him swimming and floating on the raft, I will send those to you also.  He is a joy to our family.  Housebreaking him  was a breeze hes very smart.  Well I am sure you may have been wondering about him so I thought I would let you know that he has a good home and loving family.  I will keep in touch and send photos periodically.  Take care and let your family know he is doing just great.
Sincerely Gina

I do have a story to tell about our " Boys" .
I found out I had Breast cancer in April of this year, so I had to have a masectomy,
& due some set backs I was home all Summer. In late June and part of July I was
pretty much home bound and sleeping a lot, so my Husband would take care of me
in the morning and go to work and leave me with the dogs. Joey & Whiskey hardly
ever left my side when I was alone. They would follow me if I got up to walk anywhere

The Boys Just Joey & Whiskey Jack" are doing great, and look fabulous. It is amazing to us how they had the same parents but such different personalities. We sure do love them.

I'll forward some pictures this evening when I get home from work.  We have been taking lots of photos, she is growing quickly.  She weighed in on 9/28 at almost 19 pounds.  At first, Rocky was  pouting and growling quite a bit at Callie.  But he has been our baby for 4 years, getting all the attention, but he is getting used to her.  He has started playing with her.  They love to run and chase each other.
Callie is doing great on her house training.  We have had very few accidents - yea!!  She loves the water.  We have taken her to the beach to play, on a camping trip and swimming in the pool.  She is a smart liitle girl.  She arrived at midnight on a Sunday.  By 10:00 the next day, my sister Carolyn had her sitting and laying on command.  She is very alert and just seems to take in everything around her.
She comes to work with us every day.  All of our customers love her.  She is so funny, when we are moving the plants and flowers or pulling weeds, she wants to get right in the middle of things and help.  I must admit she is annoying when I need to sweep the floor - she attacks the broom - she loves the broom -- we end up giving in and letting her have the broom to chew on.  When she goes to sleep we can get back to the broom!  She follows us every where we go.  We are so happy that you have shared her with us.  She is a great little girl.  We love her lots.  She loves us too!

Deanna,
The small one in the pic is "Barnacle Goose" now Ranger and the bigger one is a year and 4 months her name her Lady Griz -which we also got from you.  Griz is a true spinger at heart; she loves the water & birds!  Ranger is laid back- however he loves toys and whatever Griz has!  We are hoping he will love the water as much as her, birds will be hard because she has chased them all out of the yard!  They are truely wonderful dogs.  They are great with the kids and the kids love them!  We originally got Ranger for our little boy (hence the name Ranger is for Power Ranger!),  we wanted him, my husband, and Ranger to be buddies.  However, I truely think Griz is Ranger's soul mate they love each other-they follow one another around, they play, they sleep during the day together, the few times they have had to be seperated they have looked for each other!  So as for a human Ranger has enough love for all of us-it seems he can not get enough of any one of us!  I will send mors pics as they get bigger. Take Care!

Good Morning, Deanna.
Hope all is well with you and your family.  Cheyla sure causes a stir every place that I take her.  She generates a lot of advertising for your kennel.  She's extremely difficult to photo because she never stays still.  She sure loves watershe's in it all of the time.  She learned to swim last weekafter she was playing and fell in the pool at the ranch. She have fallen in before when she gets playing hard and mis-judges where she is.)  I've always been right there to pull her outthis time she started swimming to the steps before I could grab her.   She's probably getting about a C- in puppy class because she would rather play.  Even worse than the playing is that she learned the first night that the instructor carries treats so she is a ham sitting in front of him begging for a treat.  He uses her for the example a lotboy does she love thatmore treats!!  I have to admitI don't think I have ever had a dog that is quite as smart as she itshe sees things once and has them masteredshe also figures things out for herself.  She wanted up on my bed one evening she's still a little too small to jump upshe drug over a shoe and used the shoe to stand onthat gave her just enough extra height so she could get on the bed.  I couldn't believe it!  She only needs to grow a tad more and she will be able to get up on her ownshe will really be a terror, then.  My legs are solid bruises, cuts, and punctures.  It is a great game for her to come running as fast as she can and jump and grab me.  We are working very diligently to stop that behavior.
Here's a couple of pics there are the only ones that I have been able to take without her moving.   I have a friend that has a 10 month old border collie.  She's about twice Cheyla's size but Cheyla more than holds her own and boy do they love to play.  She tries to play with Mazy at the ranch (7 yr old lab).  They are funny because Mazy will retrieve, Cheyla always follows her, and when Mazy brings back the toy, Cheyla will take it out of her mouth.  Mazy lets her have it.  If Mazy drops it, Cheyla will pick it up.  They are funny.  Cheyla will retrieve with me, but not with others.  She likes to take the toy from Mazy just so Mazy will run and she can chase her.  They lay together, now.  It took Mazy quite a while to accept cheyla she's always been around older dogs and she and Gus were buddies.
